Although it's been wet & cloudy in Maastricht, these ladies turned up the heat as they worked their buns off this summer to tighten up, get fitter, and smash some personal goals. Our 8-week program flew by and before we talk about the winners of the Transformation Challenge, let's recap some highlights from this year's Fit Femme Boot Camp.
Many of last year's participants joined us again this summer, even inviting their friends and work colleagues to join. In total we had 2O fabulous women participate between the Monday and Wednesday evening groups. And let me tell you - these ladies were die-hard champs who were absolutely committed to coming to every session they could. Despite the incredibly unlucky wet weather we seemed to have nearly every session, these women were eager to have an intense workout and weren't afraid of a little water or dirt. We even had a group of women train in torrential downpour - I would've taken photos to prove it but obviously that would have destroyed my phone!
Our private Facebook page was incredibly active this summer with loads of awesome fitness & nutrition questions for our Q&A Tuesdays, along with the women sharing tons of healthy and delicious recipes for the group. It was truly a space where we could all support one another in our fitness goals and highlight each others' strengths and improvements.
But what really impressed me was the positive spirit and encouraging space that the women all created for one another. Sure there were aspects of the workouts that created both internal and external competition, which I think can be really healthy and motivating. And although some people don't thrive in that kind of space, there was always an underlying sense of camaraderie and encouragement to just do your best. And when it comes to improving your fitness, nutrition and body composition, that's all you can really ask for. As I frequently reminded the ladies: It's all about progress, not perfection.
Our Boot Camp ended as quickly as it began, and it came time for post-Transformation Challenge assessments, which are always so exciting for me as I sift through the raw data and see the before & afters. The proof is definitely in the pudding for the winners. So without further ado, here they are:
1st PLACE - Fiona E.
It's always bitter-sweet when good things end, so of course we needed to celebrate our successes this summer with a victory BBQ and delicious home cooked foods. It was a wonderful way to wrap up another great Boot Camp, and of course, it could only be fitting that we were rained on that day too, lol!
And due to popular demand, and me not being pregnant this time around haha, I plan on running a special 8-week FALL BOOT CAMP, so stay tuned for more info coming very soon!
AND If you live in the Maastricht area and know that you'd love to participate this fall, EMAIL ME HERE stating your interest so that I can put you on the wait list as spots are limited and they go pretty quickly once registration opens.
Until next time, I wish you all a wonderful, fit and healthy summer!!
